General Visitation 2022

From April 30 – May 22, Frs. Carlos Luis Suarez Codorniú, SCJ and Fr. Stephen Huffstetter, SCJ, did the General Visitation of the US Province. They started with our retirement community in Pinellas Park, FL, then went to Milwaukee where they took part in graduation at Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology, as well as the diaconate ordination of Henry Nguyen, SCJ. Then it was on to South Dakota to learn about St. Joseph’s Indian School and the ministries of the Lower Brule Pastoral Team. From there, the pair went to Mississippi, where they celebrated Mass with students and visited the ministries of Sacred Heart Southern Missions. The last stop was in Houston, where they again celebrated Mass with students, and visited with parishioners at Our Lady of Guadalupe. In between ministry visits, Fr. General visited with each SCJ individually and spent time getting to know the communities of the province.
